City crews have hit the streets and are plowing their way through Prince George neighbourhoods.

The city says crews are working in day, afternoon and night shifts with both city and contract equipment to get the job done.

They are working in concert with the garbage collection map and are currently clearing streets in the green zone. On Friday (Jan. 4), crews will be in the orange and red zones, followed by the blue zone on Saturday, Jan. 5.

The city says crews will continue to distribute de-icing and traction material on major routes, intersections and on priority hills in the coming days as some more snowfall is expected.

For more information on winter parking restrictions, priority route information and how to submit a request for service, check out the snow page on the city’s website.
