Seniors can ride the bus for free today (Oct. 1).

Since it's National Seniors Day, the City of Prince George and B.C. Transit are offering anyone over the age of 65 free rides.

The free fare is valid on all Prince George Transit System routes. Seniors will have to show their ID upon boarding.

National Seniors Day is celebrated annually on Oct. 1 and is meant to recognize the life-long contributions seniors have made to their families, communities and society.

Visit B.C. Transit’s website for more information.
