Prince George Secondary School listed for possible COVID-19 exposure

Northern Health has listed Prince George Secondary School (PGSS) as having a potential COVID-19 exposure.

The PGSS exposure is listed as having occurred on Oct. 2.

“School District No. 57 (Prince George) has been made aware by Northern Health that a member of our school community at Prince George Secondary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The district is working with Northern Health and the Medical Health Officer and is following their guidance,” reads a statement by Superintendent Anita Richardson on SD57’s website.

“Please be reassured that our schools will continue to implement the strict protocols and procedures we have in place so that children can continue to attend school as safely as possible. The safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff remains our highest priority. For any COVID-19 related questions, please contact the Northern Health Online Clinic at 1-844-645-7811.”

Northern Health has stated that If your child’s school has been notified of an exposure, no action is required unless you are contacted by Public Health or are otherwise directed by school officials.
