Prince George RCMP saw a 22 per cent increase in police files created on Halloween, compared to a normal Sunday.
Calls to police were steady throughout the afternoon and evening, RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in an email on Tuesday.
“Our normal file count for a Sunday in October is 118 files in total,” Cooper said. “On Halloween we had a 22 per cent increase in the amount of files we see on a Sunday, for a total of 145 files.”
The average number of calls to police on Halloween over the past three years is 145, she added.
Most calls were complaints of suspicious people and events.
