Police are looking for more information on a shooting that occurred on Second Avenue yesterday (Oct. 17).

Just after 7 a.m. Prince George RCMP received a call to a business on the 700 block of Second Avenue for reports of gunshots.

When frontline police arrived at the location, they discovered evidence of several shots fired into the back of the building.

Surveillance obtained by investigators shows what looks like a dark coloured, older model Volkswagen Jetta, with the back passenger window covered in plastic, leaving the area shortly after the sounds of the gunshots. The information attached to the license plate seen on the surveillance does not match the vehicle seen on the video.

“Police are looking for anyone with further information on this vehicle or this event to please contact an investigator by calling 250-561-3300. We are thankful that no one was hurt in this incident,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
