Prince George RCMP investigating alleged shots fired near John Hart Highway

Three people were arrested for firearm-related offenses

Mounties in Prince George are investigating after shots were reportedly fired at the corner of the John Hart Highway and Shady Lane early this morning (May 2). 

Cpl. Craig Douglass says RCMP received a report at around 3:20 a.m. that shots had fired from a vehicle driving southbound on the highway.

Police add they were given a description of the vehicle.

Ten minutes later, the suspect vehicle was found near the intersection of 15 Ave. and Alward Street in Prince George. 

Three people were arrested, two men and a woman, as part of the investigation, Douglass says.

A search warrant was obtained and executed on the vehicle which police found a loaded handgun. 

A 19-year-old woman driver, two men (a 35-year-old and 32-year-old) were taken into custody for firearm-related offenses and held in custody overnight. 

No clear target of the shooting has been located and police are seeking the public's help into the incident. Douglass adds that nothing has been confirmed as of yet in regards to the alleged shots fired.
