Runner assaulted in College Heights

Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted in College Heights by an unknown male when she was out running.

The Prince George RCMP received the report that at approximately 10:30 p.m. on April 30.  The victim stated she was running in the area of Osgoode Drive and Gladstone Drive when a young male came out of the woods and punched her twice in the face before retreating into the woods. The victim did not recognize the assailant.

She describes him as:

  • Approximately 16-years-old
  • Curly brown hair
  • Red Hurley hat

Police are looking for any further information on the assailant and are asking the public if they have any information on who he might be, to please contact the Prince George RCMP by calling 250-561-3300.

Additionally, police say if anyone has experienced a similar incident they are encouraged to come forward, or to report to police any unrelated issues with youth in the area.

This investigation is ongoing.
