Prince George RCMP investigating 15th Avenue New Year’s Day homicide

Prince George RCMP are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man which is believed to be a targeted homicide.

At about 1:45 a.m. on Jan 1 the Prince George RCMP received a report of a homicide that occurred in a residence on the 2800 block of 15th Avenue.

Frontline officers arrived on the scene and discovered the deceased. Officers secured the area and the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit was called in to lead the investigation.

RCMP say this investigation is in the early stages and significant resources have been deployed. 

Police believe this was a targeted event.  Investigators wish to speak to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or anyone that may have information.
