The front counter at the Prince George RCMP detachment will be reopened to the public on Tues., May 19 with measures in place to limit public contact in answer to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The detachment will be abiding by social distancing guidelines and will have appropriate signs and markers in place to direct our clients when they enter the building," RCMP said.
"All staff will have access to personal protective equipment (PPE) and depending on the service required, may provide clients with PPE."
As well, anyone showing symptoms of the virus are asked to refrain from attending the detachment in person and instead call 250-561-3300 for service or information.
They can also report minor property crimes online by going to www.princegeorge.rcmp.ca and clicking on the "report a crime" link.
The 911 service remains operating for emergencies.
The front counter has been closed for about two months.
