One person has been forced out of their home at the Lombardy Mobile Home Park, following a fire on Tuesday night.
Prince George Fire Rescue Service crews were called to a fire at the mobile home park on Norwood Street at roughly 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to information released by the City of Prince George.
When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke billowing from the mobile home. Fire fighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and limited the damage to a single unit.
The mobile home suffered significant damaged, estimated at $10,000. The city’s emergency support services arranged short-term accommodation for the home’s displaced occupant.
An ill-maintained wood stove appears to have been the cause of the fire.
