Prince George Council of Seniors has announced that the Meals on Wheels Program will soon resume services.
The organization had to pause the program at the beginning of August as the program was dealing with a sudden increase in costs, staff shortages, and needed to find a new commercial kitchen.
“It has been a very busy month, finding a kitchen, kitchen staff, getting permits and so on. But we are just about there,” said Michelle McGregor, executive director in a release.
Meals on Wheels will now be collaborating with Trinity United Church to run the program.
“Meals for the Meals on Wheels Program will resume on Sept. 5. Thank you to all who have reached out and a special thank you to Reverend Bob from Trinity United.”
