Prince George Council of Seniors has announced that it has paused its Meals on Wheels program.
In a letter posted to its social media, executive director Michelle McGregor said the council said every client has been contacted and it is working very hard to find accommodations to support clients who are most in need.
She added that they are hopeful that the program will only be paused for the month of August as the organization is dealing with a sudden increase in program costs as well as a temporary staff shortage.
“We are working very hard on finding a solution and are confident that this will only be temporary for the month of August,” said McGregor.
She added that the program is also looking for a commercial kitchen to rent to run the program out of in the future.
