Police are investigating an early morning shooting from Saturday (Nov. 23).
Prince George RCMP says, just before 6:30 a.m., they responded a report of a man with a gunshot wound at a residence on Irwin Street.
Frontline officers attended and spoke with the victim, who was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries as the result of a single gunshot wound.
Police determined the scene of the shooting to be in the parking lot of a local credit union on the corner of Central Street and Fifth Avenue.
Investigators are requesting the public’s help to identify the persons involved and are asking anyone in the area with security cameras to contact police.
Investigators also believe this incident was not random and occurred as a result of a disagreement between the victim and a small group of suspects.
More details will be released as they become available.
