A Prince George man has been charged with homicide involving the death of his wife.

Grande Prairie RCMP announced today (March 19) they arrested Paul Tamasi in connection to Karen Jordan's death in 2013.

The 57-year-old is scheduled to appear in the community's Provincial Court on Monday (March 22).

As the multi-year investigation proceeded following Jordan's missing person's case, Mounties explain evidence suggested she was last seen in November 2013 with Tamasi.

Her remains were not found until September 2020 by Alberta RCMP's Special Tactical Operations Team near Wembley, roughly 25 km west of Grande Prairie.

The joint effort in the eight-year investigation included the Grande Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section, Alberta RCMP Serious Crimes Branch and local Search and Rescue crews.
