A 39-year-old Prince George man has been arrested following a commercial break and enter on Southridge Avenue.
On Monday (Nov. 11) at 7:30 a.m., RCMP received the report from the College Heights area, frontline officers attended the business and were informed that a significant amount of electronics were stolen.
Police say evidence at the scene led officers to locate a suspect riding a bike on Highway 16 near Vance Road.
The suspect, Carl Frederick Jays, was arrested without incident and the stolen items were recovered and returned to the business.
Jays has been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with the following Criminal Code offenses:
- Break, enter and commit theft
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Jays has been remanded in custody and will appear in court later today (Nov. 12).
