Be careful, if you have to commute somewhere in the next 10 to 12 hours.
Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for Prince George with 'near-zero' visibility expected in its surrounding regions.
As of 4:30 p.m. today (Dec. 8), the national service says a high-pressure system is moving over the province's central interior, which could cause hazardous driving conditions with that reduced visibility.
Intense fog could form this evening and could continue through the night.
However, conditions are expected to improve by tomorrow morning (Dec. 9).
Environment Canada forecast for Wednesday calls for mainly cloudy skies and 15 km/h winds after the fog dissipates.
Temperatures are expected to reach -1 C, but the chill will make it feel like -6 C.
Near zero visibility in the fog is expected or occurring in the @CityofPG area. Please make sure your headlights are on. #BCHwy16 #BCHwy97 Check @DriveBC for more info. #shiftintowinter pic.twitter.com/hlsoYP5tzU
