Ambra Colebank of Prince George is the winner of the Prince George Hospice Dream Home. The draw took place live on Facebook at 5 p.m. Friday.
“This is just so crazy,” Colebank said about winning the $950,000 home.
“We haven’t had time to process all this yet.”
Colebank talked about what happened when she called her spouse, Scott Cunningham.
“He didn’t believe us at first,” Colebank said. “But he’s really happy about it. We haven’t decided what we’re going to do yet. We’re just going to take some time and think about it.”
Colebank and her family like where they live now and won’t be making any hasty decisions until some time has passed, she added.
Colebank and Cunningham have two children, Keziya, 15, and Kelsyn, 9, who Colebank said are very excited about the whole thing and even fur baby Nina is excited.
“I would just like to thank the Hospice so very much for this opportunity,” Colebank said. “They do such important work and are such a big part of our community. This is a life changer for sure."
