Prince George Fire Rescue douse commercial blaze on Ogilvie Street

Crews responded to the fire around 2:20 a.m.

Early this morning (July 6) Prince George Fire Rescue responded to commercial alarms at the 1700-block Ogilvie Street.

At about 2:20 a.m. a total of 19 firefighters from four halls were dispatch to the scene. On arrival, fire crews found a commercial building with smoke and flame showing. Fire crews made a quick attack and knocked the fire down.

There was no person in the structure and no fire crews were hurt. It took crews approximately four hours to complete salvage and overhaul.

Fire Rescue says fire damage is unknown at this time and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
