Prince George Fire Rescue (PGFR) extinguished a structure fire on Third Avenue.

At about 7:45 p.m. on May 5, crews responded to a structure fire at 1820 Third Avenue. Four halls initially responded to the reported structure fire.

On arrival, they found a two-story commercial building with light smoke coming from the roof. The fire was isolated to the roof and was quickly extinguished, with no surrounding exposure affected.

Damages estimated at two thousand dollars.

PGFR says no firefighters or civilians were injured as a result of the fire and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
