Heavy snow is making a return to Prince George to round out the month of February.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the city and its surrounding regions as of 8:13 a.m. this morning (Feb. 27).
According to the national forecast service, between 10 and 15 cm of snow could accumulate in the next 24 hours but it's expected to ease off by tomorrow morning (Feb. 28).
This is due to a strong frontal system currently passing through northern B.C., which also has the same warnings for the Pine Pass, Nechako, Dease Lake, Peace and Cariboo regions.
Locally, mainly cloudy skies are in the forecast for this afternoon, along with winds that may gust up to 40 km/h tonight and 50 km/h by tomorrow.
The snow may lead to difficult road conditions in certain areas, so commuters are being urged once again to adjust their driving habits.
Environment Canada is also encouraging homeowners to 'take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.'
