Residents in an area of College Heights have been without water this morning (Dec. 30) following a water main break.
City crews are at the scene on Southridge Avenue near O’Grady Road to address a water main break that caused most of the Vista Ridge subdivision to lose water service.
The expects water flows to be restored later today.
Southridge Avenue remains open at this time but has been reduced to one lane of traffic to accommodate the repair operation. No other streets are affected. If possible, drivers are advised to plan alternate routes.
The water main, which is about 25cm in diameter and made of iron, was installed in 1993.
The city says it thanks residents for their patience while repairs are completed and encourages motorists to drive cautiously while around road crews.
