Even his name screams hockey!
Bauer Dumanski rounds out the top four 2020 bantam draft picks by the Prince George Cougars and has also signed a WHL standard player agreement as of today (May 6).
He’s the third player to put his signature to paper in as many days and the fourth Cats’ prospect to do so in under two weeks.
“It’s an honour to be signing with such a great organization like Prince George,” said Dumanski in a team release.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to play in the WHL and I can’t wait to get started.”

The 15-year-old defenceman was taken 26th overall, the fourth pick in the second round of the draft, from the Humboldt Broncos Bantam AA club, with whom he recorded 33 points in 30 games last season as captain.
Cougars Scouting Director Bob Simmonds calls Dumanski a well-rounded player with strong skating abilities and can also be a good play-maker when on the offensive drive up ice.
“He was his team’s leader, even as a defenceman, and his puck movement skills are what you need to be effective in today’s game.”
Dumanski is set to suit up with the Saskatoon Contacts next year with Riley Heidt, Prince George’s first pick from the 2020 draft.
Heidt signed his agreement with the Cougars a day after his second-overall selection (April 23).
Caden Brown, 17th overall, and Ryker Singer, 22nd overall, joined the organization on Monday (May 4) and Tuesday (May 5) respectively.
