Jacqueline Krause will soon be sprucing up her home with some wish-list renovations after winning the $1-million Guaranteed Prize from the Dec. 14 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Prince George resident, who checked her ticket on BCLC’s Lotto! App, was at work when she discovered her win, netting her the ultimate present right in time for the holidays.

“I was filled with disbelief,” she recalled of the moment she realized how much she won. “I’ve always wanted to renovate and update our house!”

Krause couldn’t wait to share the news with her husband, who was also overjoyed.

“He was also in disbelief!”

Aside from doing the home renos, Krause said she is looking forward to soon taking a trip to Europe with friends.

How does it feel to win the lottery?

“I’m so grateful,” Krause said. “It’s really exciting.”

Krause purchased the winning ticket from Walmart on Southridge Avenue in Prince George.

So far in 2022, B.C. lottery players redeemed more than $111 million in winnings from Lotto 6/49.
