The 2013 Pride week celebrations in Prince George will take place July 4 to 7.
"Ever increasingly Prince George and other northern Communities are growing and becoming more diverse and the presence of the annual Pride Parade forever will play a pivotal role in Northern BC, not only as a political statement of equality, but also a statement of belonging and hope for everyone," said Valentine Crawford, Pride Society president.
Because of a lack of volunteers, the annual Pride Festival that traditionally follows the Pride Parade, will be cancelled.
"(Instead) we will be focusing our energy on meeting the needs of the growing Pride Parade," said Crawford.

July 6 - Pride Parade and Pride Celebration Party
July 7 - Pride Phoenix Brunch
