A man facing six charges, including fleeing from police and driving while disqualified, will return to court Jan. 8 to fix a date for a pretrial conference.
Michael David Trosky, 34, appeared by video before Provincial Court Judge Martin Nadon on Dec. 23 and is expected to go on trial for two days in 2025.
Trosky was charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a conveyance, assault of a peace officer, wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer and driving while disqualified. On a separate file, he is accused of breaching a probation order. The charges stem from an incident on March 9, 2023 in Prince George.
He remains in custody.
On Sept. 29, 2023, according to the online court registry, Trosky was guilty of breach of release order, theft $5,000 or under, mischief and driving while disqualified in Dawson Creek on March 5, 2023. He was sentenced to time served and ordered to be on probation for a year.
