Preschool talent featured in art show

Some of the Community's youngest artists will be featured in an open house Friday night at Studio 2880. We invite you to stop in and see the Preschool of the Arts - art show open to the public from 6 to 8 p.m. The show will feature art from all of the 17 preschool students from throughout the year. The show is taking place in the Jack Bryan room at the Studio 2880 Complex.

Many of the artists and their families will be on hand to take in the evening as well. They are all very excited about this event. The show is hosted by the Prince George and District Community Arts Council. Jessica Rollison the early childhood education teacher for the program and Alissa MacDonald, College of New Caledonia student teacher will be on hand to greet you and answer any questions you may have. Executive director, Wendy Young will also be on hand to take in the evening and act as the official photographer. The artists would like you to note that the art is already part of private collections and therefore not for sale.

The Community Arts Council supports, promotes and encourages all arts in the Prince George and District area. The students, in addition to the regular ECE preschool curriculum have an added layer of the arts built into their curriculum. We offer we offer drama, music, dancing and visual arts with professional instructors as often as possible. Friday's focus will be the visual arts. Lite refreshments will be served.
