Service was restored to the nearly 5,800 customers affected after a power outage struck a large swath of the city Monday afternoon.
Power went out shortly before 3 p.m. and was restored slightly more than one hour.
Most were in the Bowl area but service was also knocked out to west of Ospika Boulevard and west of Highway 97.
The source of the trouble was traced to a damaged insulator in the Foothills substation.
"Why that insulator was damaged, I don't have answers yet," Hydro spokesman Bob Gammer said shortly after 4 p.m.
