In the last Citizen poll we asked readers: Why do you think the NDP were able to win a majority government in Alberta? Coming in at 36 per cent was Jim Prentice alienated voters, with a total of 230 votes.

In the last Citizen poll we asked readers: Why do you think the NDP were able to win a majority government in Alberta?

Coming in at 36 per cent was Jim Prentice alienated voters, with a total of 230 votes. Then at 23 percent was Rachel Notley connected with voters, for a total of 147 votes. Coming in close behind at 22 per cent was the Conservataives had been in power for too long, for a total of 142 votes. Trailing was the NDP were able to unite moderate and left-of-centre Alberta voters with 16 per cent and a total of 104 votes and in last place came the Wildrose Party platform is too radical with four per cent of the vote, totaling 23 votes.

There were a total of 646 votes. Remember this is not a scientific poll.
