The Citizen poll asked "Should The Citizen report fines levied by Worksafe BC against area companies for unsafe working conditions and worker injuries?"

The answer was a convincing "yes, the public has a right to know about safety infractions by local businesses" with 66 per cent of the vote for a total of 352 votes.

A distant second, but still in the affirmative, was "yes, the public has a right to know about the activities of a government watchdog agency" with 23 per cent for a total of 123 votes, while "no, it's not in the public interest" trailed with six per cent for a total of 31 votes. In last was "no, it's not fair to the companies, many of which are small businesses" with five per cent and 29 votes.

There was a total of 535 votes. Remember this is not a scientific poll.

Next poll question asks "Will you be watching the Stanley Cup playoffs this year, even though there are no Canadian teams?"
