The last Citizen poll asked: are you in favour of the renaming of Fort George Park as Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park?

The results were overwhelmingly negative with 52 per cent of pollsters saying no, Fort George is an important part of the history of this region, for a total of 596 votes.

No, it does nothing to address the real concerns of First nations took 15 per cent, with 173 votes.

Yes, it recognizes the traditional territory and cemetery of the area's original inhabitants saw 242 votes or 21 per cent, while yes, it's an important first step to truth and reconciliation in our own city took 12 per cent of the vote for a total of 136 votes.

Remember this is not a scientific poll. There was a grand total of 1,147 votes.
