Policing searching for pick up involved in hit and run

The search is on for a vehicle involved in a hit and run where an adult male was severely injured. The incident took place on Sept. 7 at about 10:30 p.m.

The search is on for a vehicle involved in a hit and run where an adult male was severely injured.

The incident took place on Sept. 7 at about 10:30 p.m.

An adult male was walking along Highway 97 near the intersection of Boundary Road when he was struck from behind by a pick up truck that had a boat and trailer attached to it.

The vehicle did not stop.

The man was transported to hospital and is expected to survive.

Local police are searching for the vehicle described as:

- Dark coloured Ford Super Duty pick-up truck

- Manufactured between the years of 2008 & 2016

- Would have damage to the front right (passenger) side of the truck and the passenger side mirror

The truck was pulling a trailer, described as:

- Single axel boat trailer

- Carrying an older white boat, approximately 16-20 feet long, with a tower and two speakers

Police believe the driver may reside south of Boundary Road or possibly in another community.

Investigators continue to urge the driver to attend the Prince George Detachment and speak to an officer.
