A pair of early-morning rollovers west of the city has prompted Prince George RCMP to urge caution as the roads get slicker this time of year due to buildups of frost and ice.
"Quick changes in temperatures can occur and different segments of roads can have different conditions," RCMP said.
Police said an unloaded tractor trailer unit lost control while coming down a hill on Highway 16 near Lower Mud River Road.
By the time the road was reopened at 8 a.m., traffic in both directions had been blocked for about three hours.
Emergency personnel also dealt with a rollover over a small car on Highway 16 near Norman Lake Road.
They were called to the scene at 7:30 a.m. and the road was reopened about an hour later.
