An alleged bomb maker who failed to appear in court for the first day of his trial is back in custody.

Prince George RCMP said Dustin Jeffrey Olson, 24, was arrested without incident early Saturday morning when he was located in a vehicle near the corner of Highway 16 and Tyner Boulevard.

Olson and Meranda Leigh Dingwall, 23, were to be the subject of a trial in early December on counts related to the recovery of a loaded semi-automatic rifle, two live pipe bombs and bomb building materials from an 1100-block Ahbau Street home in November 2015.

However, Olson, who was out on bail, failed to appear and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

In addition to the counts from the original incident, Olson now also faces 10 counts of breach of probation and one count of obstructing a peace officer.
