Prince George RCMP closed off one block of Ahbau Street on Thursday morning as part of a search for evidence inside a home in the area.
The 1100 block of Ahbau, from 10th Avenue to Chilako Avenue, was cordoned off for about two-and-a-half hours while an emergency response team and an explosive disposal unit were called in to clear the home.
Neighbouring residents were asked to vacate their homes during that time.
The move came after a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested outside the home on Wednesday evening .
They remained in custody pending a first appearance in court, expected to occur today.
RCMP said the two are known to police and expect they will face firearms-related charges. Their names were not released Thursday.
