Prince George RCMP have taken over the investigation of the fire that leveled three buildings in the 300 block of George St. on Monday, but are not yet saying whether it was deliberately set.
"We want to rule out the possibility of criminal wrongdoing and we are just investigating," Cpl. Craig Douglass said. "We're not saying it's arson, we just want to make sure to follow up on every little bit to make sure that it wasn't."
Douglass could not say how long the investigation will take.
