The Prince George RCMP are looking for a suspect following an early morning stabbing.
Shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday morning, police received a call from staff at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. regarding a 21-year-old stabbing victim.
The male had been walking on Upland Street near 20th Avenue when he was approached by another male who grunted, produced a folding knife and stabbed him in the chest.
The victim was able to fight off his assailant, who fled. According to the victim, the suspect was not known to him and there was no conversation prior to the attack. The 21 year old received non-life-threatening injuries to his chest and hands where he grabbed the knife.
The suspect is described as a caucasian male, approximately five-feet, seven-inches tall with a chin-strap beard. He was wearing a blue puffy jacket with a blue hood and blue bandana.
