The McBride RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating two people that have not been heard from since Friday, August 4.
On Friday, August 11 McBride RCMP were advised that Anie Sheila Charlsecat was missing.
Then on Wednesday, August 16 McBride RCMP received a report that Rachid Ait-Oublelaid was also missing. It is believed that the pair are together.
Rachid and Anie were last known to be staying at an Airbnb in Prince George from Tuesday, August 1 through to Saturday, August 5 and were possibly hiking in the McBride area around this time.
Rachid Ait-Oublelaid is described as
- 36-year-old male
- French citizen
- 5’ 9 (175 cm)
- 172 pounds (78 kg)
- Brown eyes
- Brown hair
Anie Sheila Charlescat is described as:
- 46-year-old female
- 5’ 6 (168 cm)
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
They are believed to be travelling in a 2023 Toyota RAV4 with Alberta license plate A73912.
The vehicle is a rental car that was due back on August 6, 2023, at the Vancouver International Airport, but has not been returned. There is no evidence to support that either of them has left the province or country.
