Mackenzie RCMP have located a suspect they were searching for who was spotted walking in the community carrying a firearm. Police have identified the man and confirmed that the firearm was a pellet gun.
Mounties say no offence was committed and no one was injured in this matter.
Police received the report on Nov. 2 at 8:07 a.m. and immediately flooded the area looking for the suspect. Out of an abundance of caution and the safety of the people in Mackenzie, two area schools, the Recreation Centre and the mall were all placed on lockdown.
