A man is in the hospital with injuries after he was stabbed Thursday morning.
Prince George RCMP are calling on the public for help finding suspect, who police describe as a bald man wearing a red jacket, about 185 cm (6'1") and 91 kg (200 lbs).
Police say the report came in at about 8:15 a.m. and the suspect fled the scene - on the 1500 block of Pearson Avenue - before police arrived.
"Although not believed to be at risk, area schools have been notified," the release added.
District 57 superintendent Marilyn Marquis-Forster said Nusdeh Yoh Elementary was in lock-down Thursday morning. RCMP asked staff to secure the school as students arrived and that notice was lifted shortly after 11 p.m., she said.
"At no time was the school involved or the students and staff in danger," Marquis-Forstersaid. "It’s just a matter of being cautious."
Police ask that anyone with information about the incident call 9-1-1.
