Prince George RCMP have received reports of a man following downtown employees from their workplaces, harassing them and attempting to enter their vehicles.
"We strongly advise anyone who has been victimized or has seen anything suspicious to contact the RCMP so we can find this individual or individuals," said S/Cst. Fred Greene. "A good description of the suspect will assist police in finding the individual responsible."
Citizens on Patrol volunteers are aiding police with additional patrols and Prince George RCMP's community policing section are urging employees to use the "buddy system" when walking between their vehicles and workplaces.
Employees are also being urged to look out into the parking lot or street before they exit a building, eliminate distractions such as cell phones or iPods when walking, keep their vehicles locked and have their keys ready before they reach their vehicles, look into their vehicles before entering them and never leave valuables in vehicles, including loose change.
