Police probe shelter death

A 39-year-old man was found dead at a local shelter. "Although there are no obvious signs of foul play, the Prince George RCMP's Serious Crime Section was called in to investigate," said police spkesman Cpl. Craig Douglass.

A 39-year-old man was found dead at a local shelter.

"Although there are no obvious signs of foul play, the Prince George RCMP's Serious Crime Section was called in to investigate," said police spkesman Cpl. Craig Douglass.

Investigators were called in at about 8 a.m. Sunday to the facility in the 100 block of Quebec Street. A forensic autopsy is scheduled for later this week and other police inquiries will also be conducted.

The name of the deceased man was not released as of press time.
