Two missing people are still the subjects of separate police
searches.
RCMP are seeking teenager Brandy Lee Felix and 26-year-old Tyler Eugene Fetterly. Investigators are unsure if they are out of touch with their love ones due to foul play or personal choice, but the worry is clear.
Police interest in Fetterly began as a request for his input on a matter of interest, but those inquiries were met with a disconcerting silence, said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass.
"We were pretty actively searching him out in the beginning and a big part of determining he was missing was that search," Douglass said. "We went down a lot of avenues with people he knows, associates, friends, family members and it became clear that he was missing to everyone."
Fetterly can't be accounted for since early October.
Felix is someone known to police for past disappearance episodes, but never this long. She went out of contact on Oct. 7.
"She has never been gone for more than a few days," said Douglass. "This change in Brandy's behaviour has prompted police to reach out for public assistance. We are actively looking for her, and encouraging anyone who can to provide information."
These are not the kind of searches that have a definite place of last sighting, or a clue about a previous location with a known direction of travel. Police are in need of any scrap of information in order to piece together Fetterly's and Felix's whereabouts.
"We are putting out the feelers," Douglass explained. "The members on the road are out looking for them, they are known to our members so we are keeping our eyes open, and we really need to have information called in to us from people who might know something. We are concerned about Mr. Fetterly because he has gone off the radar so completely, and we are concerned for Ms. Felix because she is at a vulnerable age, she's 14, and there are people who are concerned about her safety. We are concerned about her safety."
Felix is described as a First Nations female, five-foot-four, 141 pounds, with brown eyes and long, straight, black hair.
Fetterly is described as a Caucasian male, five-foot-ten, 161 pounds, with blue eyes and a bald head or short brown hair.
"We do follow up on all tips," Douglass said.
"Also, if either one of these missing persons is out there and hear that we are looking for them, we urge them to call us to give us an indication of how their well-being is."
