A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with what appeared to be a spinal cord injury following a single-vehicle rollover last week near the intersection of Noranda and Northwood Pulpmill Roads, Prince George RCMP said.
The man, who was behind the wheel and not wearing a seat, while the 23-year-old passenger was buckled in, said police, who added alcohol was a contributing factor in this collision and the driver is under investigation for impaired driving.
Police also believe that just prior to the collision, both the driver and the passenger were served an excessive amount of alcohol at a local licensed establishment and on Friday, it was served with a violation under B.C. Liquor Control and Licensing Act.
The investigation will continue, police said.
