RCMP are on the lookout for witnesses after a man died from injuries suffered when he was struck by a pickup truck on Highway 16 on Saturday evening.
Police were called to the scene between Irrigation Lake Road and Snake Nation Road, about 15 kilometres west of Houston, at about 6:35 p.m.
First responders transported him to hospital in Smithers, about 50 kilometre to the west, where his condition worsened and he died a short time later.
Investigators are seeking any witnesses to this incident - in particular the occupants of the vehicle that stopped well behind the incident around the time it occurred. That vehicle was also described as a pickup, but no other details are known at this time.
The victim was described as a man in his 40s from Winnipeg.
