Snap, crackle and pow!
Three people were arrested Thursday evening outside a Massey Drive mall after Prince George RCMP's street crew unit found a loaded handgun hidden in a cereal box.
The discovery also led to the seizure of three long guns, one of which police said was confirmed to have been stolen, as well as quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine and drug trafficking paraphernalia from a 2200-block Queensway Street home.
A 23-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old man were arrested.
No names were released because charges have not yet been approved against them but RCMP said all three are "well known to police and believed to play significant roles in the local drug trade."
The woman was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 5 while the two men were released pending further investigation.
