On Tuesday afternoon police in Prince George made their second comprehensive drug bust in the past week.
In this latest incident, similar to one last Thursday and Friday, multiple arrests were made, weapons were seized and drugs were confiscated.
On Tuesday afternoon, police from the General Duty Section took action with a search warrant at a home in the 2400 block of Oak Street. They were aided by the city's Downtown Enforcement Unit, Municipal Drug Section and Police Dog Service - about 10 members altogether.
Inside they found three suspects: one adult male, 53 years old, and two adult females, aged 34 and 36.
"A search of the residence found cocaine, marijuana, a large quantity of prescription pills and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Two rifles were also located," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass.
Investigators anticipate recommending multiple Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges and Criminal Code firearm-related charges against all three arrested at the residence.
Douglass added that it was information provided by the public that tipped police off on these suspects, and encouraged more people to call in suspicious activity so more raids like this can be conducted.
