Police cruiser involved in Prince George collision near Pine Centre Mall

Drivers treated for non-life threatening injuries, investigation ongoing

A Mountie and a driver were treated for non-life threatening injuries this weekend after a standard-marked police cruiser was involved in a multi-vehicle collision in Prince George.

According to RCMP, the incident occurred Saturday morning (Nov. 23) around 10:20 a.m. when officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Massey Drive near the Highway 97 on-ramp heading east from the Pine Centre Mall.

Both drivers were taken to hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries before being released.

An investigation is ongoing, but no other details are being released at this time and witness statements were taken at the scene of the collision.

Massey Drive was partially closed to traffic that morning as officers gathered evidence.
