Customers should see neither a sudden increase in their electricity bills nor a decline in their health as a result of the installation of so-called smart meters on homes and businesses throughout Prince George, says a B.C. Hydro project officer.
Fiona Taylor found herself addressing both concerns during a chamber of commerce luncheon on Thursday where she spoke about Hydro's efforts to install meters that no longer manual reading but rather send information via wireless technology.
