Banning motorists from parking in the cycling lane along Ospika Boulevard next to the soccer fields at Exhibition Park is among the measures proposed in a draft city plan to make life easier for cyclists, walkers and runners.
The lane is a convenient spot for motorists to park their vehicles, particularly when youth soccer is using the fields during the summer and when games or concerts are on at CN Centre. But that also means cyclists are forced out onto a road that can get busy.
