A B.C. chief forester's timber supply review that will set a new harvest level in the pine-beetle-infested Lakes District Timber Supply Area west of Prince George shows there will be a significant drop in allowable logging levels after 10 years.

The three scenarios, which are based on different management assumptions, outlined in a discussion paper forecast that the timber supply will "decrease significantly" 10 years from now to a lower mid-term level.
